Creating Accessible Science, Nature Play and Playgrounds
Explore creating inclusive outdoor learning opportunities in science, nature and on the playground for all children
Join STAR NET Chicago Region V for the hands-on session “Accessible Science, Nature Play and Playgrounds” on April 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Participants will explore creating outdoor learning opportunities where all children can participate in science, nature play and on the playground.
Activities will include:
- Examining some outdoor spaces to evaluate the accessibility of the spaces
- Identifying adaptations and modifications for making access and participation available to all children
- Creating an action plan for adaptations and modifications for your outdoor environment
Please bring photos of your outdoor spaces and playground. The photos can be digital or printed.
