Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) Awareness Symposium
Event for patients 12 years and older, parents, caregivers and families affected by congenital heart defects.
The Organization for Understanding Congenital Hearts (T.O.U.C.H.) and the Congenital Heart Center at OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois have joined together to host the 2nd Annual Congenital Hear Defect (CHD) Awareness Symposium on Feb. 10 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Peoria.
The symposium will educate participants about issues that affect individuals of all ages living with CHD, including clinical updates, the importance of healthy eating, new 3D teaching techniques, the emotional implications of living with CHD, endocarditis and neurodevelopmental risks/issues.
