Event for patients, parents, caregivers and families affected by congenital heart defects.

The Organization for Understanding Congenital Hearts (T.O.U.C.H.) and the Congenital Heart Center (CHC) at OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois are hosting the third Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) Awareness Symposium on Feb. 8.

This event is for patients (recommended 12 years and older), parents, caregivers and families affected by congenital heart defects.

This year’s symposium will focus on the emotional implications of living with CHD for both the patients and their support systems. It will feature patient and family stories enriched by panel discussions. The symposium will also touch on transition care to adulthood.

The event is $10 per person (a discount is available for three or more attending family members).

Visit the symposium registration webpage to sign up and learn more information. Registration closes on Feb. 7.

Our Peoria Regional Office staff is looking forward to attending this event and explaining how we help children with heart defects and other cardiovascular impairments.
