Chicagoland Adaptive Climbing Expo
An adaptive rock climbing experience for individuals with physical disabilities
The Chicagoland Adaptive Climbing Expo, a partnership between Adaptive Adventures, Synergy Adaptive Athletics and the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, is on June 4 from 12 to 4 p.m.
The event is at Maggie Daley Park, 337 E. Randolph St., in Chicago.
The Chicagoland Adaptive Climbing Expo is for people with physical disabilities and their loved ones to enjoy the sport and lifestyle of climbing. The event is designed for individuals with any type of physical disability. It will showcase adaptive climbing methods and equipment.
Adaptive climbing fosters an amazing sense of community, trust, courage and accomplishment. Whether you are a wheelchair user or you are ambulatory, come learn how to climb successfully.
All skill levels are welcome. The club provides adaptive equipment, plenty of encouragement and support, and a cool community of people to help participants reach new heights.
Adaptive Adventures is currently offering programs for children (ages 4 and up), youth, adults and veterans.
The cost is $5 per participant and includes essential climbing equipment, instruction and an event t-shirt.
