Chicago Deaf Awareness Day at Columbia College
Health fair focused on services for individuals who have hearing impairments.
Chicago Deaf Awareness Day is hosted by the American Sign Language Department at Columbia College Chicago. This event showcases agencies and businesses with community resources for individuals who are deaf, deaf and blind, hard of hearing, late deafened and interpreters. Special entertainment includes Sunshine 2.0 – a professional traveling theatre troupe based in Rochester, New York – a performance by Peter Cook and a voter registration drive by Equip for Equality.
Deaf Awareness Day is hosted by Columbia College Chicago at “Stage Two” on Sept. 28, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is not required, and this event is free and open to the public.
