Chicago Children’s Theatre “Camp Red Kite” in Chicago
A theatre day camp for youth on the autism spectrum ages 8 to 22
Join the Chicago Children’s Theatre for “Camp Red Kite 2024.” Camp will run from July 15 through Aug. 2 on Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Camp Red Kite is a dynamic, engaging and welcoming theatre day camp designed for youth on the autism spectrum.
During three fun-filled weeks, campers will rotate between classes with their age-appropriate small groups. Youth with autism ages 8 to 22 will build confidence as they have fun exploring:
- Drama
- Music
- Movement
- Visual arts
A trained team of theatre artists, administrators, and Chicago Public Schools Diverse Learner teachers lead Camp Red Kite. They are dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment.
The experience encourages self-expression, social engagement and creative exploration! Camp will wrap up with a final showcase and potluck lunch to share the Camp Red Kite experience with family and friends.
The camp fee is $900. Financial assistance is available. Please complete the online financial assistance form before registering.
