Champaign-Urbana Astronomical Society Family Skywatch and Open House

Families and their children ages 5 and up are invited to see the stars and planets

Join members of the Champaign-Urbana Astronomical Society’s (CUAS) at their “Family Skywatch and Open House” on June 4 from 9 to 11 p.m. Skywatch events are held on select Saturdays throughout the year at the CUAS Observatory, 926 County Road 700 E., Champaign.

Skywatch is an opportunity to observe magnificent astronomical objects through the largest public telescope in east central Illinois and CUAS’ many telescopes.

Skywatch is a family outing that’s educational, outdoors and free.

Public skywatches are held the Saturday after the first quarter moon.

The event is canceled in the event of bad weather, including cloudy skies.
