Camp Roehr (Ruling Over Epilepsy Helps Realize Dreams) in Potosi, Mo.
A seven-day, residential camp for children and teenagers ages 6 to 17 with epilepsy
The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Southern Illinois (EFGSI) is hosting Camp Roehr from June 24 to 30.
The annual Camp Roehr will be at YMCA Trout Lodge and Camp Lakewood in Potosi, Mo.
Camp Roehr provides young people with special needs a place where they can have fun, make new friends and focus on their strengths.
Campers ages 6 to 17 will enjoy:
- Swimming, archery and team sports
- Arts and crafts
- Hiking and wildlife exploration
- Dancing
- Epilepsy education and more
Caring, qualified counselors and medical support personnel are on-site to provide a safe, supportive environment. Campers must be able to:
- Care for their own basic needs
- Follow directions
- Participate in regular camp activities
- Be emotionally and behaviorally ready for an overnight camp experience.
