Camp MAGIC is a one-day grief retreat for children ages 6-14 who have experienced the death of a loved one. Through the camp, children will find new ways to identify and express their grief through a variety of activities, including making memory boxes, reading books, releasing butterflies and more.

Staffed by professionals and trained volunteers, Camp MAGIC is free of charge.

Each camper will be paired with a volunteer to provide companionship, support and supervision throughout all activities for the duration of the camp stay. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend.

Camp MAGIC exists to:

  • Provide children with a safe place to express their grief
  • Engage children in special activities to help normalize their feelings
  • Help children experience a sense of togetherness with other children who have lost loved ones
  • Promote communication between children and their parents regarding their loss, as well as to provide resources to parents
