Camp Lions Youth Week for Illinois Children and Youth With Vision and/or Hearing Loss in Ingleside
Free summer camp for children and youth ages 7 to 17 who are blind, vision impaired, deaf or hard of hearing
Camp Lions of Illinois is hosting “Youth Week at Camp Red Leaf Village” from June 23 to June 29. Check-in is Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Check-out is Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.
Camp Lions provides Illinois children and youth with vision and/or hearing loss a camping experience filled with fun, challenging activities, and an opportunity to make new friends.
Camp activities will focus on building self-confidence, independence and leadership skills.
Campers can enjoy:
- Swimming and water sports
- Fishing
- Ga-ga ball, beeper and baseball
- Archery
- Arts and crafts
- Described/captioned movies
- Trail riding
Cabins have showers and washrooms in the same building.
The camp is free for eligible children and youth living in Illinois.
