A free overnight camp for children ages 10 to 16 with Type 1 diabetes

Camp BETA will be on Sept. 6-7. Campers will arrive at 9 a.m. on Sept. 6 and leave on Sept. 8 at 2 p.m.

Camp Beta is a free overnight camp for youth ages 10 to 16 with Type 1 diabetes.

Campers will build confidence, make new friends and enjoy:

  • Hiking and orienteering
  • Boating
  • Arts and crafts
  • Archery
  • Horseback riding
  • Climbing wall

The camp is a collaboration between Southern Illinois Healthcare, the Diabetes Today Resource Team, the Southern Illinois University Human Nutrition and Dietetics Program, and the Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center.
