A workshop on understanding and managing challenging behavior in children with developmental and intellectual disabilities

Join Illinois StarNet IV’s in-person workshop “Behavior Strategies for Success” on Oct. 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Participants will gain skills and learn new strategies for managing challenging behaviors across a variety of settings.

Presenters Dr. Lesley Shawler and Denise Croft, MS, CCC-SLP/L, will cover:

Identifying why the behavior is happening
Using antecedent and function-based strategies
Teaching adaptive/functional methods of communication or other positive behaviors
Promoting independence and success for children with behavior difficulties

Caregivers and professionals are welcome to attend.
