Autism Awareness Month Virtual Coffee Talk Series – Celebrating Neurodiversity
Explore how to elevate the voices of individuals with autism
The Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP) State Public Health Autism Resource Center (SPHARC) is hosting a series of virtual coffee talks on Wednesdays in April for Autism Awareness Month.
The April 28 event will focus on celebrating neurodiversity.
This coffee talk will showcase a parent discussing the importance of taking a lifespan approach to supporting independence and individuality in autistic individuals.
The latter half of this event will feature an opportunity for participants to join autistic-led breakouts exploring tangible steps we can all take to better elevate the voices of autistic individuals.
The guest speaker is Yetta Myrick, a parent advocate and founder and executive director of DC Autism Parents.
