This in-person workshop will be at William F. Gurrie Middle School, 1001 S Spring Ave., in La Grange.

Presenter Jennifer Rosinia will begin with an overview of the stress response system and sensory processing.

She will then take participants on a deeper dive into the meltdown process. Topics will include:

  • What happens to the body when feeling overwhelmed, under attack or helpless
  • Identifying triggers, signs and symptoms that a meltdown is starting
  • Appropriate prevention and intervention strategies at each stage

Caregivers will leave the workshop ready to design prevention and interventions strategies based on their child’s needs.
