Adaptive Bikes on the Playground in Morton Grove
An adaptive bike-riding event for individuals who struggle with riding a traditional bike
The Niles Township District for Special Education (NTDSE) is hosting an Adaptive Bikes on the Playground event on April 12 from 4 – 5 p.m.
The event is at Molloy Education Center Playground, 8701 Menard Ave., in Morton Grove.
Riding a bike allows a person to get exercise outdoors. For individuals who struggle with riding a traditional bike, an adaptive bike can be helpful. Anyone with a disability or injury that affects balance or motor function is an ideal candidate.
Adaptive bikes are designed to meet the abilities of a rider and help overcome challenges. Adaptive bikes may include:
- Trikes
- Handcycles
- Recumbent bikes
- Tandem bikes
- Hybrid bikes
Mark your calendar and make plans to ride together at the park.
