52nd Annual Illinois Teachers of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals Conference

The theme of this year’s conference is “Under Construction: Building Bright Futures.” The keynote speakers are Heather Costner on Friday, March 4, and Karen Putz on Saturday, March 5. The event also features pre-conference workshops
Costner has 10 years of experience in the field of deaf education and she’s currently an assistant principal at the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center’s Kendall Demonstration Elementary School. Putz, the mother of three deaf and hard of hearing teenagers, is the Co-Coordinator of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Infusion at Hands & Voices and co-founder of Illinois Hands & Voices.
