2023 Perandoe Transition Fair in Red Bud

A free event providing transitional services information and resources for caregivers/families, eighth grade and high school-aged students and teachers in Monroe, Randolph and St. Clair counties

The Perandoe Transition Planning Committee is presenting the 2023 Transition Fair on March 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will be in the new gym at Red Bud High School, 815 Locust St., in Red Bud.

The event is open to students in eighth grade and high school students, their parents and teachers.

Presentations will include:

• 9:30 to 10 a.m. -Attorney Ashley Day on guardianship
• 10:15 to 10:45 – Southwestern Illinois College Financial Office on applying for financial aid
• 11 to 11:30 a.m. – Attorney Ashley Day on special education needs planning

Attendees can get state ID cards through the Illinois Secretary of State Mobile Unit (please see flyer for documents needed) and information about:

• Community and college resources
• Career planning
• Transitional services for independent living

A representative from the University of Illinois Chicago’s Division of Specialized Care for Children will also be on hand to answer questions about our programs and services.
