2023 Camp Lions of Illinois – Youth Week in Southern Illinois
Free summer camp for youth ages 7 to 17 with vision or hearing loss
Join Camp Lions of Illinois for “Youth Week” on July 30 to Aug. 5. Check-in is Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Check-out is Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.
The camp is at Camp DuBois Center, 2651 Quarry Road, in Du Bois.
Camp Lions provides eligible youth with vision and/or hearing loss a camping experience filled with fun, challenging activities and an opportunity to make new friends with peers of similar abilities.
Camp activities will focus on building campers’ self-confidence, independence, leadership and creativity. Campers will enjoy:
- Swimming and water sports
- Fishing
- Ga-ga ball, beeper and baseball
- Archery
- Arts and crafts
- Described/captioned movies
- Trail riding
Cabins have showers and washrooms in the same building.
