The Illinois Family Leaders Collaboration presents the 14th annual Family Conference on April 4 at the Spalding Pastoral Center in Peoria.

This year’s conference theme is “The Power of Parents: Using Your Voice to Make a Difference.”

The conference is for adult family members and caregivers of children (birth to 22) with developmental delays or disabilities. Service providers and educators are also welcome.

The cost is $15 per family member and $25 per professional. Continuing education credits are available.

The conference provides an opportunity for parents to learn a variety of ways to make a difference, not just for their child or family but on a much broader level.

Participants will learn how the tools of storytelling can help unwrap dreams and ideas to advocate for children so they have a full and inclusive life.

Participants will also lave with ideas, tools and strategies for enhancing their well-being as caregivers and advocates of children with disabilities.
