Equip for Equality offers assistance that includes:

State of Illinois Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan

CHIP, a state program, to provide health insurance to residents who due to existence/history of a medical condition, are unable to acquire insurance.

Bright Futures

Bright Futures is a national child health initiative focused on prevention and health promotion for infants, children, adolescents and their families.

The Bright Futures website provides a number of resources for children, teens and families and information to help families build a strong partnership with their healthcare providers.

Family Resource Center on Disabilities (FRCD)

The Family Resource Center on Disabilities (FRCD) is the Chicago metropolitan area’s Parent Training and Information Center. The FRCD can help you learn about your rights and responsibilities under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), make informed decisions about your child’s individualized education program (IEP), obtain appropriate services for your child, communicate more effectively with school professionals and more.

The FRCD serves the following eight Illinois counties: Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will.
