Bee Connected American Sign Language Family Event Series – “Beezy Brain Buzz” in Palos Hills
Free in-person events for people of all ages to strengthen their American Sign Language (ASL) skills, build connections and support loved ones who are deaf or hard of hearing
Join Moraine Valley Community Collect (MVCC) for “Bee Connected: An American Sign Language (ASL) Family Event Series.” The sessions are free and open to the public. The events will feature hands-on activities and opportunities to engage with Deaf community members in a welcoming space.
The fun, family-friendly activities will help people of all ages:
- Strengthen their ASL skills
- Build connections with other families and the deaf and hard of hearing community
- Have fun engaging in family-friendly activities
- Support loved ones who are deaf or hard of hearing
MVCC will host “Beezy Brain Buzz” on July 23 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Invite your family members and friends to learn how an entrepreneur who is deaf jump-started their business.
Gain some great business tips while developing your ASL skills!
Interpreters will be available.

The Bee Connected ASL Family Event Series will wrap up with a “Buzzworthy Storytelling Bash” on Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please register online by Aug. 20 to attend.
MVCC offers free ASL classes for families who have children ages birth through high school who are deaf or hard of hearing. Deaf instructors teach the classes in sign language and written English. MVCC serves residents in Moraine Valley and Cook County.
