The Family Resource Center on Disabilities (FRCD) will host “Navigating the Transition Plan: Special Education Rights” on Zoom on March 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Are you beginning your child’s transition to adulthood within the Illinois special education system?

This webinar can help you navigate the process with confidence.

Parents and caregivers will gain an understanding of the initial steps of the transition process in the Illinois special education system from an academic perspective. Topics will include:

• Defining transition plans and their components
• Understanding transition services
• Tips for parents preparing their child for adulthood

Participants will also learn about community resources and building links that are important to ensuring a dignified life as a part of the community.
