Developmental Differences Resource Fair in Chicago
A free event where families with a child with a disability can have fun, connect with other families, and learn about a side range of resources in the Chicago area
The Neighborhood Parents Network‘s annual Developmental Differences Resource Fair is on April 27 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Whether you have a diagnosis for your child or you are looking for services that can treat specific delays or behavioral issues, the Developmental Differences Resource Fair is a one-stop shop for finding resources and solutions.
The event will feature parent education sessions at:
- 9 a.m. – “Is My Child’s IEP or 504 Good Enough?”
- 9 to 10 a.m. – “Understanding the Proposed/Pending Special Education Law and How to Support Your Child”
- 11 a.m. – “Is My Child’s IEP or 504 Good Enough?”
Activities will also include:
- Meeting other families and supportive community members
- Talking with therapy providers (speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, etc.) and medical professionals
- Learning about therapeutic schools and enrichment providers
- Playing in the kiddo fun zones
- Connecting with community resources and programs
