Behavior Strategies for Parents of Individuals with Developmental Disability

Teaching new skills and decreasing problem behavior.

UIC’s Department of Disability and Human Development is holding a Behavior Strategies for Parents of Individuals with Developmental Disability class in Chicago. This group is for parents or caregivers in search of positive strategies to address challenging behaviors. The class will cover strategies and techniques for teaching and maintaining new skills at any age. Parents/caregivers will work on understanding problem behavior and learn ways to address the behavior.

The session for parents of adolescents ages 13 and older through adulthood is on Tuesdays from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 10-31.

Childcare will not be available during classes.
