Free virtual opportunity to learn from sickle cell disease warriors, providers, faith-based leaders and others working to advance care, research and quality of life

Join the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) virtually for the “HHS Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) Summit” on Sept. 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month.

The summit will provide an opportunity to connect around a shared vision of accelerating advancements in SCD care, research and quality of life.

Entitled “Empowered and Thriving SCD Warriors and Communities,” the summit will allow individuals, families and professionals to interact with and gain inspiration from:

  • SCD warriors
  • Providers
  • Faith-based leaders
  • Politicians
  • Influencers and others

HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra and Assistant Secretary for Health Admiral Rachel Levine are hosting the event.

Register online for the “Sickle Cell Disease Summit.” Participants will receive a link to join the summit the week before the event.
