Webinar – “Infinitec: Staying Off Snapchat”
Strategies to help students with disabilities stay off Snapchat and focus on learning for parents, caregivers and educators
Join Family Matters Parent Training & Information Center (FMPTIC) and Infinitec for “Staying Off Snapchat” on May 7 from 12 to 1 p.m.
Many students are learning online and are struggling with executive function skills and completing their work.
Executive function and self-regulation skills are the mental processes that enable us to plan, focus, remember instructions and juggle multiple tasks successfully. Social media and browsing the web can become distractions that lead to uncompleted work.
Infinitec will provide strategies for keeping students focused and off Snapchat. Participants will learn about:
- Loosening the grip of social media on students
- Identifying features important to supporting time management and focus
- Understanding and using the SETT framework when selecting technology to support executive function skills
- Resources and technology tools to support executive function while online learning
Educators, parents and caregivers are welcome to attend.
See the Staying Off Snapchat flyer for more details.
Register for Staying Off Snapchat on Zoom. The event is free, but you must register to attend.
