Kids Good Grief Camp in Springfield
A day for children ages 6 to 12 who have experienced the death of a loved one
Staab’s Kids Good Grief Camp will be on April 14 from 12 to 4 p.m.
Grieving children often feel isolated because they rarely know anyone their age who has experienced the death of a friend or family member. Support can be beneficial whether it has been just weeks, several months or even years since the death of a loved one.
Kids Good Grief is an afternoon of both support and fun providing children an opportunity to:
- Share their experiences with other children and lessen their sense of isolation
- Help each other in their healing journeys
- Learn valuable tools to help them grieve in a healthy way
- Make new friends
- Participate in a wide range of activities.
The experience is designed for children ages 6 to 12 who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
A brief parent presentation will take place at the end of camp. Parents should arrive by 3:10 p.m. to participate.
There is a $10 registration fee. Scholarships are available.
See the Kids Good Grief flyer and registration form.
The last day to register is April 1. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Late registration may be possible if space is available.
