Free webinar for parents/guardians of children with disabilities explaining the Notice of Procedural Safeguards and protections under the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)

The Family Resource Center on Disabilities (FRCD) is providing free training on “Procedural Safeguards: Protections Under IDEA Training” on Feb. 3 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The webinar will be on Zoom.

If your child is receiving special education services, the Notice of Procedural Safeguards For Parents/Guardians of Students With Disabilities is one of the most important documents you will receive. This critical document spells out your rights and responsibilities in the special education system.

This training will focus on the components of the Notice of Procedural Safeguards For Parents/Guardians of Students With Disabilities.  Participants will learn about:

• Consents
• Dispute resolution options
