Sensitive Santa at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion
A sensory-friendly event with Santa for children on the autism spectrum and their families
Sensory sensitivity to noise, crowds, bright and flashing lights or strong scents can make it difficult for families to take their children to see Santa at the mall.
Join the Regional Office of Education #21 (ROE #21) and Heartland Regional Medical Center (HRMC) for a visit with Sensitive Santa on Dec. 9 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This fun and inclusive event is for everyone!
Area families and their children with autism and other sensory differences can enjoy:
- The Santa room with gentle lighting
- Limited Santa helpers in the room
- Your child’s favorite items as presents
Each family will have a 15-minute appointment with Santa to take photos and receive presents.
Please contact HRMC Human Resources at (618) 998-7775 or (618) 998-7079 to schedule an appointment. Families must have an appointment to participate.
