Join the premiere of the “Visualizing Loss” film and panel discussion

Bereavement following the death of a child remains largely hidden.

Join the Pediatric Palliative Care Coalition and the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health for their Firefly Chat and the premiere of “Visualizing Loss” on Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This special two-hour event will be on Zoom.

Five families from across Pennsylvania created their own videos to share their unique bereavement experiences. Their films show the complexities and depth of their grief journeys.

Each film is completely unique. Woven together, they foster:

• Understanding of families’ experiences
• Deeper awareness about navigating end-of-life and the death of a child with a life-limiting illness
• Visualization of loss

Participants can join the panel discussion featuring the parents and members of the project team after the film.

The Visualizing Loss project seeks to increase understanding and shape future programs and policies to better support families navigating the grief process after the loss of a child.
