A free webinar for families and individuals with disabilities to to learn more about the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab

The Arc of Illinois‘ Illinois Life Span and Family to Family Health Information Center webinar series will feature representatives from the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (SRAL) on Oct. 18 from 12 to 1 p.m.

The Shirley Ryan AbilityLab supports patients and families navigating a wide range of disabilities.

Join speakers Chis Lau and Stephany Kunzweiler for an overview of the AbilityLab, the services it provides and how to access them.

Chris is a licensed social worker whose focus is on helping patients and their families throughout childhood and the transition into adulthood. Chris runs a transition group where teens and young adults learn independent living skills such as:

• Cooking
• Community transportation
• Money and medical management
• Education and employment

Stephany Kunzweiler PT, DPT, is a pediatric therapist with advanced training in cardiopulmonary therapy techniques. She is passionate about working with pediatric and adult patients with neurological weakness who are working to wean from mechanical ventilator support.
