Parent Infant Institute/Opening Doors Program in Jacksonville
A free, multi-day conference for parents/caregivers of children with vision loss ages birth to five
The Illinois School for the Visually Impaired (ISVI) is hosting its Parent Infant Institute/Opening Doors Program from June 7 to 10.
The in-person event will be at the ISVI, 658 E. State St., in Jacksonville.
The multi-day event is for Illinois caregivers and their children with visual impairments and additional disabilities from birth to age 5. Support for families attending the event will include:
- Information on your child based on observation and assessment
- A learning tool resource bag
- Help with making informed decisions on behalf of your child
- A make-it-take-it and networking activities
The event will also include a formal dinner for parents.
This is the 40th year for the event.
