2023 Camp Lions of Illinois – Youth Week in Northern Illinois
Free summer camp for youth ages 7 to 17 with vision or hearing loss
Camp Lions of Illinois is hosting “Youth Week” from June 25 to July 1. Check-in is Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Check-out is Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.
The location is Camp Red Leaf, 26710 W. Nippersink Road, in Ingleside.
Camp Lions provides eligible youth with vision and/or hearing loss a camping experience filled with fun, challenging activities and an opportunity to make new friends with peers of similar abilities.
Camp activities will focus on building campers’ self-confidence, independence, leadership and creativity. Campers will enjoy:
- Swimming and water sports
- Fishing
- Ga-ga ball, beeper and baseball
- Archery
- Arts and crafts
- Described/captioned movies
- Trail riding
Cabins have showers and washrooms in the same building.
Get the 2023 Youth Camper application online. The deadline to apply is May 15. All applications are subject to approval.
