Institute Event for Hearing Loss
A week long event for parents of preschool children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Institute is a Sunday to Friday program for parents of children (up to age 5) who have a significant hearing loss. Parents and children spend the week at the Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville, Illinois.
Parents attend learning sessions on language development, communication choices, deaf culture and more. Children attend a variety of classrooms to play with other children and have evaluations for hearing, language, education and more.
The Institute has many sponsoring organizations so families are able to enjoy this experience at no cost! Registration is required.
For more information, or to see about registering, view the Institute brochure.
