A free opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn about executive functioning and gain tips and tricks to help your child with autism be successful

The Chicago Autism Network invites you to join “Executive Functioning: Skills and Strategies for Success” on Aug. 25 from 7 to 8 p.m.

Wendy Craven from Beyond BookSmart and WorkSmart Coaching will present an informative session with tips on how to help your child thrive and be successful.

In addition to understanding why students struggle and how to reduce friction with your child, Craven will share:

  • Common challenges and how they relate to executive function
  • Strategies for self-regulation, problem-solving, task initiation and time management
  • Samples of coaching tools and strategies

Participants will have time to ask questions. They will also receive a free executive function kit with tips and resources.

Craven has a degree in recreation administration and experience as a former certified therapeutic recreation specialist (CTRS), certified parks and recreation professional (CPRP) and ABA Therapy Behavior Technician (BT). She has more than twenty years of experience in working with individuals who have autism and special needs.
