Free Virtual Child Passenger Safety Classes and Car Seat Event in McHenry County
McHenry County residents in need are invited to attend a virtual child passenger safety class and
become eligible to receive a free car seat or booster seat
Northwestern Medicine Injury Prevention together with the McHenry County Safe Kids Coalition are hosting virtual car seat safety classes.
Individuals who may not have the resources to purchase a new car seat for their child are especially encouraged to participate. However, all families are eligible to attend.
Those who attend one of the virtual presentations will be eligible to receive a free car seat or booster seat.
The virtual car safety class schedule and links to register are:
- In English
- Aug. 31 from 10 – 11 a.m. or 6 – 7 p.m. (Morning registration link, evening registration link)
- Sept. 16 from 6 – 7 p.m. (Sept. 16 registration link)
- In Spanish
- Sept. 7 from 4 – 5 p.m. (Sept. 7 registration link)
Advance registration and completion of one of the full virtual sessions are required to receive a car seat or booster seat.
Appointments for picking up your seat will be provided to all families completing the virtual safety class sessions.
These appointments will be at Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital on Sept. 19 between 9 a.m – 12 p.m.
