Virtual American Sign Language for Kids Camp for Grades 1-5
A virtual summer camp that will tell children’s storybooks in American Sign Language
Southern Illinois University (SIU) is hosting the virtual American Sign Language (ASL) for Kids summer camp for children of all ages.
Campers will go through familiar children’s storybooks told in ASL. They will have the opportunity to learn signs and try using them with fellow campers throughout the week.
No knowledge of ASL is necessary. New stories will be introduced in each session.
The sign language camp will have five week-long sessions starting on June 7. All sessions meet online, Monday through Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
The sessions for children in grades 1-5 are:
- June 7-11
- June 28-July 2
- July 26-30
The registration fee is $50.
