Webinar – “Post-Secondary Transition Planning and Services”
Free lunchtime webinar for transition-age youth with special needs and their families
The Illinois Life Span Program of The Arc of Illinois is hosting a lunchtime webinar, “Post-Secondary Transition Planning and Services,” at 12 p.m. Dec. 15.
The presentation is for transition-age (14.5-22) youth with special needs and their families.
The webinar will prepare youth for post-secondary education, employment and independent living. The training will walk through the development and implementation of a student’s transition plan, what to do if your child’s transition plan is not appropriate, as well as special issues affecting students of transition-age, such as becoming a legal adult, graduation and remote learning.
Presenters are Emily Wilson, Skadden Fellow and Attorney, and Amanda Klemas, Supervising Attorney with Equip for Equality.
