Free webinar series to address the challenges that families of children with special healthcare face

Family Voices of California is hosting a webinar series to address the educational and mental health challenges that families of children with special healthcare needs (CSHCN) are facing during COVID-19.

Part 1, “Choosing Peace Over Choosing to be the Perfect Parent: Family Mental Health Challenges,” is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sept. 21.

This webinar will speak to the mental health challenges related to distance learning/education that both parents and children are facing during this time. It will also provide strategies to help families cope under these stressful circumstances.

Part 2, “Service Provision and Advocating for Your Rights,” is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sept. 25.

This webinar will offer options for families to address specific logistical questions they may encounter as they negotiate how best to support the educational development of their children.
