Statewide Return to School Family Virtual Convening
An opportunity for parents, caretakers and students to join a dialogue with state agency, parent and student advocacy group leaders via Zoom
The Illinois State Board of Education is hosting the first Statewide Return To School Family Convening.
The convening is happening via Zoom from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 11.
The Statewide Return To School Family Convening is an opportunity for parents, caretakers and students to join a dialogue with state agency, parent and student advocacy group leaders. The discussion will focus on accessing and advocating for high-quality and equitable resources at local schools and programs that will ensure better educational outcomes for all Illinois students during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Attendees will be able to share their experiences with school during COVID-19 and provide feedback on ISBE’s guidance. ISBE will also share information about available services and supports.

To help all interested families participate, this event will be hosted in English, with real-time translation into Spanish, Polish, Urdu, Arabic and American Sign Language, plus captioning.
The event will also be recorded for families who cannot join live.
