DESCRIPTION:A free family-focused webinar providing practical strategies fo
 r using visual support to promote learning for children ages 3 to 5 with d
 isabilities\n\nSTAR NET Region IV will host "The Importance of Visual Supp
 orts and Strategies" on Nov. 5 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Check-in will begin 
 at 3:25 p.m.\n\nChildren’s brains are more visual than those of previous
  generations. Parents and caregivers of children of all abilities can use 
 visual strategies to support learning and prevent behavioral challenges.\n
 \nFocusing on the needs of families\, presenter Kathy Morris's presentatio
 n will include:\n\n 	Tips for using keychain rules\, power cards and socia
 l stories\n 	Practical strategies for supporting cognitive development and
  preventing behavioral challenges\n 	Videos and visual examples\n\nMorris 
 has been an educator for 46 years and presents internationally. Morris and
  her husband\, Guy\, “walked the walk and talked the talk” after the p
 remature birth of their twin sons\, Kirk and Drew. They are recipients of 
 The ARC Lifetime Achievement Award for their lifelong professional and per
 sonal work with people with disabilities.\n\nThis presentation is for fami
