DESCRIPTION:A free\, four-part webinar series to help families better under
 stand their child’s IEP and participate confidently in the special educa
 tion process\n\nFamily Matters Parent Training and Information Center (FMP
 TIC) will host "Fall Into the IEPs: Four-Part Family Lunch and Learn Serie
 s." Sessions will take place every other Thursday from Sept. 24 through No
 v. 5 from 12 to 1 p.m.\n\n"Session 1: Understanding Your Child’s IEP (In
 dividualized Education Program)" will begin the series on Sept. 24.\n\nThr
 ough four practical\, family-friendly sessions\, participants will gain an
  understanding of their child’s IEP and be able to participate confident
 ly in the special education process. Each session will provide help for un
 derstanding\, monitoring\, preparing for\, and addressing concerns about t
 heir child’s IEP.\n\nAn IEP can feel overwhelming when you are unsure wh
 at each section means or how the pieces work together.\n\nFamilies can joi
 n Session 1 to better understand major sections of their child’s IEP\, i
 ncluding:\n\n 	The Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional P
 erformance (PLAAFP)\n 	Annual goals\n 	Special education services\n 	Accom
 modations\n 	Least restrictive environment (LRE)\n\nFamilies will learn wh
 at to look for when reviewing the IEP and how each section connects to the
 ir child’s individual needs and educational progress.\n\nSee the "Fall I
