DESCRIPTION:A free\, four-part webinar series to help families better under
 stand their child’s IEP and participate confidently in the special educa
 tion process\n\nFamily Matters Parent Training and Information Center (FMP
 TIC) will host "Fall Into the IEPs: Four-Part Family Lunch and Learn Serie
 s." Sessions will take place every other Thursday from Sept. 24 through No
 v. 5 from 12 to 1 p.m.\n\n"Session 3: Take Your Seat at the IEP Table: Pre
 paring for an IEP (Individualized Education Program) Meeting" will be on O
 ct. 22.\n\nThrough four practical\, family-friendly sessions\, participant
 s will gain an understanding of their child’s IEP and be able to partici
 pate confidently in the special education process. Each session will provi
 de help for understanding\, monitoring\, preparing for\, and addressing co
 ncerns about their child’s IEP.\n\nFamilies are important members of the
  IEP team. Preparation can help build confidence and effective communicati
 on.\n\nThis session will walk families through practical steps they can ta
 ke before an IEP meeting\, including:\n\n 	Organizing concerns\n 	Reviewin
 g educational data and progress\n 	Identifying priorities\n 	Preparing que
 stions\n\nFamilies will learn strategies for sharing their perspective\, a
 sking for clarification\, and arriving at the meeting prepared to be an ac
 tive participant in decisions about their child’s education.\n\nSee the
