SUMMARY:Virtual Listening Session for Medicaid Managed Care for Current and
  Former Youth in Care
DESCRIPTION:An opportunity for current and former youth in care\, and those
  who support them\, to provide feedback and suggestions regarding Medicaid
  managed care (currently YouthCare) to help shape future care\n\nShare you
 r feedback with the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services 
 (HFS) and Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) at vi
 rtual and in-person listening sessions to help shape how the state deliver
 s healthcare services to youth in care in the future.\n\nThe state will be
  accepting proposals later this year for a new contract for the DCFS Speci
 alty Managed Care Plan for  Youth in Care and Former Youth in Care (curre
 ntly called YouthCare).\n\nHFS and DCFS  are hosting a virtual listening 
 session on WebEx on Jan. 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help inform the proc
 urement process.\n\nEach listening session will provide current and former
  youth in care\, and those who support them\, an opportunity to share real
  experiences with Medicaid managed care about what works well and where yo
 u see gaps or a need to improve related to:\n\n 	Access to care (including
  physical health\, behavioral health\, dental\, etc.)\n 	Care coordination
 \n 	Transitions\n 	Meeting and managing the medical\, behavioral health an
 d developmental needs of youth in care\n\nYour lived experiences are criti
 cal to understanding how the system works for youth in care and former you
 th in care. Sharing your experiences can help:\n\n 	Improve access to time
 ly and appropriate care\n 	Strengthen care coordination for youth in care\
 n 	Improve the quality and continuity of services\, especially during plac
 ement change\n\nDue to the procurement process\, HFS will be able to liste
 n and register your comments but will not be able to answer questions or r
 espond during these sessions.\n\nRegister for the virtual Medicaid managed
