DESCRIPTION:Free virtual three-part book study providing in-depth informati
 on on children’s executive function skills and strategies for supporting
  them in the classroom and throughout the day\n\nSTAR NET Regions I &amp\;
  III will host a virtual book study webinar series\, “Organized and Enga
 ged: Simple and Effective Strategies to Support Executive Function.” The
  three-part series will be from 4 to 5 p.m. on:\n\n 	Feb. 5\n 	Feb. 19\n 	
 March 5\n\n“Organized and Engaged: Simple and Effective Strategies to Su
 pport Executive Function” is a teacher-friendly\, easy-to-read book that
  offers practical ideas and strategies for supporting executive function i
 n early childhood classrooms and beyond.\n\nJoin STAR NET Regions I and II
 I early childhood resource specialist\, Sherial McKinney\, M.S. Ed.\, and 
 STAR NET family resource specialist\, Roseann Slaght\, for an in-depth loo
 k at children’s executive function skills.\n\nParticipants will complete
  reading assignments and meet with Sherial and Roseann to take a deeper di
 ve into:\n\n 	Executive function and how it is defined\n 	Self-regulation\
 n 	Specific sensory play\n 	Cognitive strategies to teach and support stud
 ents’ executive function\n\nSherial has provided staff development and t
 raining opportunities for teachers\, support staff\, administrators and fa
 mily members at a variety of local\, state\, regional and national confere
 nces.\n\nRoseann Slaght has worked at STAR NET for 23 years and is the mot
 her of two adult sons with disabilities. She embraces inclusive practices 
 and finding ways to support each child to develop their full potential and
  include parents as partners in the learning process.\n\nThe webinar serie
 s is free and open to family members and educators.\n\nRegister online for
