DESCRIPTION:A virtual conference for parents\, students and guardians cover
 ing special education services\, system navigation\, conflict resolution a
 nd transition readiness\n\nFamily Matters Parent Training and Information 
 Center (Family Matters PTIC) will host the two-day "2024 Virtual Special E
 ducation Parent Summit" on:\n\n 	Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.\n 	Oct. 23 
 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.\n\nThis collaborative conference will bring toget
 her experts from across the state. Parents\, students and guardians will l
 earn about:\n\n 	 Navigating special education services\n 	Understanding 
 the step for conflict resolution\n 	Strengthening special education\, advo
 cacy and transition supports\n 	Preparing for transition\n\nPresenters wil
 l include:\n\n 	The Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission\n 	The I
 llinois Department of  Human Services' Division of Rehabilitation Service
 s (DRS)\n 	The Illinois Elevating Special Educators Network (IESE)\n 	Equi
 p for Equality\n 	The Arc of Illinois Ligas Family Advocate Program\n 	The
