 naged care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitie
 s and their families\n\nThe Arc of Illinois is hosting the "Understanding 
 Medicaid Managed Care Webinar Series: National Trends in Medicaid Managed 
 Care for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD
 )" starting on Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.\n\nThis series is for self-
 advocates\, families\, providers and advocates. It will bring together exp
 erts to share national perspectives and information about a proposed model
  for Illinois. The hope is that the information will provide a better unde
 rstanding of the topics and offer some comfort as you become more informed
 .\n\nJoin Mary Sowers\, Executive Director of the National Association of 
 State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS)\, to expl
 ore how managed care organizations (MCOs) have evolved nationally to serve
  people with IDD.\n\nMary will explain the findings from NASDDDS's new nat
 ional scan of Medicaid managed care practices for people with IDD\, includ
 ing:\n\n 	The different state models in use\n 	Quality and oversight prote
 ctions\n 	Trends Illinois families and providers should be watching\n\nPar
 ticipants are welcome to join one or all three of the webinars.\n\nThis we
 binar series aims to provide information and share different perspectives.
