DESCRIPTION:Weeklong camp for kids with Tourette syndrome ages 7 to 16 year
 s old\n\nJoin the Tourette Syndrome Camp Organization (TSCO) for Tourette 
 Syndrome Camp USA from June 21 to 27.\n\nAt Tourette Syndrome Camp USA\, c
 ampers will:\n\n 	Meet other kids who share similar experiences\n 	Experie
 nce an environment where their tics are accepted\n 	Explore coping mechani
 sms in a positive and safe environment\n 	Swim\, boat\, hike and more\n\nT
 he overnight camp is for children and youth ages 7 to 16 whose primary dia
 gnosis is Tourette syndrome (TS) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) a
 nd to a lesser degree attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).\n\n
 The TS camp program takes place concurrently with a traditional YMCA camp.
  TSCO is not a therapeutic program\, and there are some limitations in acc
 epting children whose needs are beyond the scope of its design. The camp
 ’s staff will focus on providing general supervision\, with as much one-
 on-one mentoring as the situation permits.\n\nIn addition to providing in-
 services to all Camp Duncan counselors\, TSCO also provides volunteer coun
 selors who have TS or experience with TS. Campers must be able to function
  within a group setting and handle routine daily living skills (e.g.\, dre
 ssing\, self-hygiene).\n\nCampers who are 16 can participate in the Counse
 lor-in-Training Program (CIT). These campers will be given leadership oppo
 rtunities that will help with a transition to possible future positions on
  our staff.\n\nThe cost is $820 to $950 per camper. Scholarships are avail
