 nts Who Are Visually Impaired
DESCRIPTION:Summer camps to build S.T.E.A.M. concepts and transition skills
  for Illinois students ages 9 to 19 who are blind and visually impaired\n\
 nJoin the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired (ISVI) for "There's No
  Place Like ISVI" summer camp from June 16-20.\n\nStudents will make frien
 ds\, explore exciting learning opportunities\, and have fun at these excit
 ing camps designed for different age groups:\n\n 	Junior STEAM Camp\, for 
 ages 9 to 12 - Enjoy team-building activities using science\, technology\,
  engineering\, arts and math (STEAM) skills! Campers will discover and exp
 erience STEAM concepts through games\, fun activities\, music\, art and sp
 orts.\n 	STEAM Camp\, for ages 12 to 16 - Explore problem-solving strategi
 es using STEAM skills\, integrating technology\, engineering and team-buil
 ding through sports and games.\n 	Transition to Independence\, for ages 16
  to 19 - Plan your future and build independent living skills for a succes
 sful transition to adulthood. Enjoy activities focusing on nutrition\, fit
 ness\, technology\, employment skills\, recreation and sports.\n\nCampers 
 will enjoy a wide range of learning opportunities and recreational activit
 ies\, including "goalball." Students can:\n\n 	Learn how to play and impro
 ve their goalball skills with help from ISVI coaches\n 	Face off against o
 ne another\n 	Play full games using the official rules\n\nStudents who are
  visually impaired and ages 9 to 19 are eligible to attend the camp if the
 y:\n\n 	Reside in Illinois\n 	Do not currently attend ISVI\n 	Are not high
  school graduates\n 	Have appropriate independent living skills\n\nThe cos
