SUMMARY:Summer Teen Camp for Youth Who Are Blind in Michigan
DESCRIPTION:A free leadership and training camp for teens in the United Sta
 tes and Canada ages 16 or 17 who are legally blind\n\nLeader Dogs for the 
 Blind is hosting "Teen Summer Camp" for youth who are blind from June 21 t
 o 27 in Rochester Hills\, Mich.\n\nLeader Dogs empowers teens who are lega
 lly blind to explore navigation options and gain lifelong skills for safe 
 and independent living.\n\nThe camp is free for teens ages 16 or 17 who ar
 e legally blind\, even if they don't plan to train with a guide dog.\n\nAc
 tivities will include:\n\n 	Building friendships with peers facing similar
  challenges\n 	Learning how to use an accessible GPS\n 	Practicing orienta
 tion\, mobility and night travel skills\n 	Tandem biking\, rock wall climb
 ing\, zip lining\, beep kickball and more!\n\nCampers will receive a free 
 HumanWare GPS to help increase their travel independence. They can also le
 arn about living and working with a guide dog.\n\nThe camp is free and inc
 ludes public transportation to and from the camper's home to Leader Dogs f
 or the Blind’s Rochester Hills campus\, accommodations and meals.\n\nDow

  The deadline to apply is April 3.
